The hotel sits right at the start of Okajima, which is great. An older gentleman at the counter swapped my room into a quieter, high‑floor one, so I slept soundly. A Korean‑speaking woman was a bit pushy and seemed unaware of my discomfort. The room itself was average, the bed a bit soft, and the pillows were lower than typical Japanese hotels, but the quiet helped. The bathroom is small and the tap is separate, so you have to adjust the water yourself, yet the sauna was nice and I washed well. The sauna floor felt a bit slippery, looking like it needs cleaning. The window was broken: it should open but the handle was removed, so no ventilation, a damp, musty smell, and I had to keep the AC on even when it was cold. I’d hesitate to stay again because of the window, but I’d strongly urge them to reinstall the handle.
