The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the bed was comfortable and the Wi‑Fi was fast. The sound of the fishermen heading out was lovely, authentic, and didn’t bother me at all. I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room with Sea View: there was no light in the bathroom, no hot water, it was barely lukewarm, so evening showers were both cold and dark. Water dripped from ceiling fixtures when it rained, making the floor super slippery. If the ceiling lights were left on, there was loud electrical crackling from a dead ceiling light. The TV was useless, and I expected a fridge given the price and location.

It was on the river, but there was no real dining room, breakfast choice was very limited and included in the price, fridges didn’t work; I would not stay there again.

“Katastrophe”

The only bright spot was the riverside location. I was told nothing upon arrival; the door could only be shut from the outside with a trick I had to ask about, and I didn’t know where breakfast was, why there was no toilet paper, or that the room wouldn’t be cleaned. When I asked, I learned I’d have to leave my key there or they wouldn’t let me in, but that was never explained. The balcony, right on the river, was crammed with tables and chairs, no shade, and it was impossible to sit there during the day because it was scorching hot. The outdoor breakfast area had old, dirty plastic garden furniture, and the fridge where the food was kept was disgusting. Overall, the room was unclean, the light switches on the bed didn’t work, and the hanging night‑stand lamps had exposed wires that I didn’t want to search for in the dark. We’re talking about a 4‑star boutique hotel, not cheap in peak season, and it was a disgrace. Even the location and the staff’s forced smiles didn’t help. I cancelled the extra night I’d booked in advance and left a day early.
