It’s in a great spot, just a 3‑minute walk to the bus terminal. The room was spacious and the futon bed comfy. The private onsen is nice, but you have to pay extra. The facilities are really old and outdated. The shower curtain is moldy and the carpets across the hotel are dirty. The vibe is a bit eerie, with stuffed dead animals lining the hallway. We asked in advance about a vegan/vegetarian meal and got no reply. When we arrived they told us it wasn’t possible because all dishes contain fish, and they wouldn’t refund the extra food fee. For a hotel that expensive, I expected better service.

I liked the onsen, both the outdoor and indoor facilities, and the breakfast and dinner were just right and tasty, but the air‑conditioner broke while I was traveling to use it.

There was nothing I thought was particularly good, and I saw broken vending machines in several spots; the garden visible from the room windows was full of weeds and apparently neglected, and the staff didn’t seem to care much about service. It felt like the Showa era had been left unchanged into the present.

“Value for money”

The hotel sits close to the Nohi bus stop and a local shop, and the dinner and breakfast were tasty for a reasonable price; the spa offered a generous amount of skin‑care lotion.

A ramen izakaya was right next door, so we had dinner and a toast there; since the stay didn’t include dinner, it was a good deal. The breakfast menu had too many vegetables and not enough meat or fish, so it would be better if there were options to reduce the veggies or choose between a veggie‑heavy or meat‑fish‑heavy menu.
