Normal. The chiles en nogada were very corriosos, and the soup had a worm. There is no dinner or room service.

The restaurant was excellent, the décor was very nice and the location was great. However, on the first night the sheets were torn and dirty, there was no hot water, the TV had no signal and the place felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel – it has only two rooms, they lock everything at 6 am and turn off all the lights, so I arrived at 9 pm in the rain waiting for someone to let me in without any warning, which was awful. They compensated me with breakfast, which was very good, but as a solo female traveler I wouldn’t stay there knowing the hallway lights stay off at night. You have to leave the keys during the day, there’s no safe (the blonde woman at reception was very rude), and you must inform them if you go out after dark so a night‑watch can keep an eye out. This made me avoid going out because I feared being left alone on the street while they were slow to open the doors. The TV didn’t work and there was no streaming, and the lighting was so dim I couldn’t even read after a day of sightseeing. $180 per night is far too much for rough, dirty, torn sheets, an uncomfortable pillow and no hot water.

The breakfast was excellent and the building’s architecture impressive, but the TV channel selection felt very basic.

The room was comfortable, the restaurant superb, and the location close to Puebla’s Zócalo; highly recommended.
