THE CAPSULE Myeongdong

“I would not come back.”

I walked in to find everything already dirty, the only staff member was unhelpful and kept telling me to read the sign, the bed wasn’t cleaned on time because he claimed an emergency (which I didn’t buy), and no one else was waiting for their room—just a sign that they were late with cleaning.

The bed and duvet were super comfy, and the storage locker was huge! Right outside, CU and a market made it super convenient. The bathroom floor kept pooling water that wouldn’t drain. The elevator door opened straight into the room—odd! A girl accidentally pressed the wrong floor and ended up in a male dorm, so privacy was lacking. The station was a little far from the hotel.

The place looks nothing like the photos—don’t book it.

The location is good and check‑in is easy. It’s not great if you’re plus‑size—the space is too cramped. If you have a big suitcase, pack everything in your carry‑on because there’s no room to open a large bag. It’s a bit dirty, and having a fire extinguisher in the capsule felt scary, so I didn’t feel safe charging my phone.
