Shady Edge

Everything about this place is so amazing. The location is perfect. The room was so clean and beautiful with a nice balcony. Bathroom amenities are good. But the best part is the host family. They were so polite and helpful. The breakfast they provided was very tasty and traditional. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

The host and family were very helpful, the house was very clean, even though the room was small it had everything needed, and they offered tea and water several times. The location is perfect; from the bus stop it’s only 2 minutes, and buses to Mirissa pass right in front of the house. All beaches are nearby, you can walk 4‑5 minutes to Turtle Beach, and a short path from the house takes you straight to the shore. For the price it was a very good house. The only downside was that none of the sockets in the room worked, so I couldn’t charge my phone, but it was late and I didn’t want to bother the host, so it wasn’t a big problem for me. I strongly recommend staying here.

I really enjoyed my stay at Shady Edge. It was clean, the bed was comfortable with soft cushions, and it was close to Turtle Beach and not too far from Unawatuna. The hosts were absolutely amazing, making sure I was comfortable. Thank you so much for the lovely stay. Nothing else.

The family was lovely. The room was very large and comfortable. The water didn’t come hot, but with the heat it wasn’t a problem.
