The area and pool were nice, but on 13 June we rented the property for two weeks and it was very dirty, smelly, and in need of renovation. My husband took our items from the previous accommodation while I was cleaning the old place. If I had arrived earlier, I wouldn't have moved in. We reached out to the owner about many problems; she apologized, agreed with our concerns, offered us €100 and a receipt for a mattress cover I had to buy, which we accepted as long as no more issues appeared. She also said she would get a cleaner to come on 17 June (she was away) and on 18 June we contacted her again; she promised to arrange a visit. The owner claimed they would address as many issues as possible immediately but said some would take longer (the only issues dealt with were the cleaning we did and the mattress cover purchase). The cleaner never showed up. I felt forced to leave before the contract ended because I simply couldn't stay there any longer. Cupboard doors were missing, there was clutter, the mattress bedding and pillows were dirty and stained (we washed them). I noticed the crockery was dusty and dirty, so I washed everything after doing two loads. The dishwasher was disgusting; we hand-washed two plates, two cups, two knives, forks, and teaspoons as we told the owner we couldn't and wouldn't cook or eat in the property, even though I spent 4–5 hours cleaning. The cost of eating out heavily impacted our budget, and the fresh food we had bought before arriving was ruined, so we lost money there too. I have photos and videos. The property could have been nice and pleasant; it's a shame it was like this. When I told the owner we had to leave and that I found more issues, I asked her not to pay the €100 or the mattress cover since we hadn't received payment; I would take it with me and complain via Booking.
