“Beautiful hotel, location and scenery”

I was blown away by the hotel’s beauty, the room was fantastic, and the breakfast ranks among the best I've ever tasted; the staff welcomed us warmly. The only downside was the weather, which was mixed, but the stunning scenery made up for it.

The hotel sits in the heart of the city. Unfortunately, our room had no fridge, the lights were out, and the breakfast was terrible.

The hotel sits right in the centre of Grasmere. The staff are lovely, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Having stayed twice in different rooms, both were very clean, well‑equipped, spacious, and offered a relaxed atmosphere. We’ve tried many hotels in Grasmere, and this one is now our favourite, especially because everything is organic—from the food to the soaps and toilet paper. We’re already planning a return.

The property is located in the tranquil village of Grasmere, offering a peaceful environment where the only sounds were birds and rain; it’s within walking distance of local cafés, restaurants, shops, and the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop. The staff were friendly, the food delightful, and we appreciated that everything from furniture to décor was chosen to support eco‑friendly values and sourced locally. The only issue was that sound travels—neighbors in the next room could be heard—and the bed, though comfortable, was very high, requiring a literal climb to get in.

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with lovely, helpful staff. The only suggestion is to offer evening meals as well; the breakfasts at Moss Grove were by far the best food we had in Grasmere.
