The place was cozy and comfortable, but the breakfast format required waiting, which was inconvenient in the morning, and there was no fish offered at breakfast.

The grounds were nice, the pool was excellent, and the kids’ room was great; it was sweet when they handed us a box with a lohino after check‑out. However, pets were not allowed, so I had to leave my cat at home—this was warned a day before the stay and left a bad aftertaste; we usually travel with him to all good hotels, and they seemed unwilling to even hear about it.

We booked a two‑night house to celebrate our wedding anniversary, added a filter on Booking to bring our diabetic cat who needs insulin, ticked the pet box, and were told an hour after arrival that we couldn’t stay with the cat—only dogs were allowed. They offered either to leave or stay without the cat. We explained that the cat was vaccinated, microchipped, had international paperwork, and travels Europe without issues; that convinced them to let us stay if we paid an extra 4 000 for the cat, citing the difficulty of cleaning after a cat. This is absurd, especially considering that in Ukraine there are about 7.3–7.5 million cats and 5 million dogs; leaving pets at home for long periods is risky. We brought everything our cat needed—bowls, litter box, scratching post. I was outraged when a dog urinated on the stairs by the pool and the owner didn’t clean it, just walked away; my cat would never do that. I wish owners and management didn’t divide pets into “wanted” and “not wanted.” Pet‑friendly should mean welcoming all animals. The property is unfinished, with construction audible from the morning; the staff are friendly, though sometimes they’ll offer water before breakfast and other times you have to ask, depending on who you encounter. Breakfasts are hearty and tasty. It’s hard to know what’s included in the room rate; everything needs to be re‑checked, and kitchen staff can loudly argue with guests (women).

The location was disappointing, a perfect example of ruining a good spot with useless staff. The biggest surprise: the room photos on the site don’t match reality; if someone pays for a house, they’ll get a hotel room at that price and claim it’s a house—service is so bad. I tried to smooth the first bad impression and communicate with staff, but as you can see in the messages, you’re politely dismissed with no solution offered. The last message got no reply at all—probably they’re tired of talking to me. Everything the reviews say—unclear parking because no one is there, golf carts for their junior staff to drive classmates at night, never seeing guests transported, waiters who don’t know the menu, bring the wrong items, seat people on your lounge chairs—happened every time I visited. I visited the complex three times; each time it got worse. The SMM posts apologies for all these reviews, but nothing changes inside the complex. Seven Lakes is a rotten candy in a nice wrapper.

The newly renovated rooms are convenient, the service is good, the pool is nice, and the grounds are well maintained.
