The hotel has everything you could want in both the room and elsewhere, and most staff were friendly. A female staff member at the pool area behaved oddly about the placement of the sun loungers. Because the pool area and loungers were shaded until the afternoon, we moved the chairs a short distance back to get sun. She told us this was not allowed, claiming more guests would do the same. We understand the hotel needs rules about loungers, but we felt the situation could have been handled more smoothly, for example by letting us move the chairs back when the sun reached the pool, which she refused. Her manner was what bothered us; it felt reprimanding and lacked the service feel and flexibility guests expect. Otherwise the staff were very good and professional throughout our stay. We especially want to highlight a male staff member who seemed to have managerial responsibility and showed great understanding, professionalism, and genuine friendliness when issues arose during the week.
