The accommodation was tidy and situated in a quiet area, comfortable enough for a couple of nights though more basic than the reviews suggested. We slept well, appreciated the thick curtains that blocked the car park lights, and found breakfast acceptable. The host was smiley and friendly. Overall, this place isn’t bad, but it does require a reality check; the reviews are inflated and the price is high. We paid the same amount per night here as we did for the Hyatt in Tallinn for a fraction of the comfort and facilities. Our ‘deluxe’ room in the annex had no storage space and only one hard chair at a desk, making it more of a sleeping spot than a lounge. As several reviewers noted, the room is very warm; outside it was 17 °C, yet we had to keep the windows wide open for airflow (using the air conditioning seemed silly in mid‑September). The bathroom is very small, with a tiny sink and just a curtain to separate the shower, but we managed not to flood everything. The promised lake view was blocked by a grey concrete wall that loomed over the sad table and chairs in the yard, presumably the ‘patio’. I feel a bit mean writing this, but it is important that tourists can make informed choices about where to stay and not be misled by high‑scoring reviews.
