“Fair”

The staff – from check‑in/out to housekeeping and breakfast – were all helpful and the room matched what we booked online; breakfast was complete with plenty of options. However, the area around the building is not what the hotel promises; countless homeless people, many using drugs, roam the building and parking garage, making it unsafe, especially with young children. Additionally, 10–15 people sit around the building all day, supposedly refugees placed by the government, which makes the stay a bit uncomfortable. Worth noting for anyone curious about the overall vibe of the hotel.

The location is excellent, right by the tunnel and close to Caesar’s; the downside is the many random people and kids hanging out outside

The breakfast service was fantastic, but I never felt safe outside the hotel.

“Food poisoning & crackheads & disgusting couches - oh my!”

The downtown spot puts you within walking distance of places like Hakka Khazana and Pho Papa, and the riverside, though that’s not something the hotel actually offers. Check‑in and check‑out were fine, the staff was okay but seemed overly friendly in a way that rubbed me the wrong way. The ice machines worked and the Wi‑Fi was fast enough for what I needed. I ended up with food poisoning from the hotel eggs, as did my wife, and there were plenty of crackheads smoking crack right outside, plus homeless people. We didn’t feel safe at night; I was harassed for change in the parking area several times. The couch was stained, visible under UV light, and my key cards stopped working a few times; the receptionist blamed my phone, but I know to keep my card away from it. The vending machines only took coins, no tap‑to‑pay or card. I’ve stayed here before, but this will be my last stay unless I have no other option but to sleep outside among the street pharmaceutical enthusiasts near the hotel.
