“Lovely gardens, but a bit of a trade-off”
The gardens and pool are absolutely wonderful, but I did feel a bit exposed when I had to walk through the village paths to get to them. Still, it's a small price to pay for such a beautiful space.

This place is huge and super quiet, with loads of space to chill out by the pool, have a BBQ, or just lounge on the grass. Getting here is a breeze, too - the road is well-maintained and easy to navigate. That being said, I was a bit put off by the lack of cleaning supplies and bin bags, and the BBQ area was pretty grimy with a ton of cobwebs. Some of the plugs in the house didn't work, either, and I felt like there was way too much stuff lying around that could easily get broken.
“Fun for the kids, but kitchen needs work”
We stayed at this cortijo just outside Baza and had a great time, especially with the kids - they loved playing with the cats and checking out the fish and turtles. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, which was a big plus. However, the kitchen utensils were a bit of a letdown - the coffee machines were ancient and the pans were pretty rough. It wouldn't have broken the bank to sort some of that stuff out, and it would've been nice to have some basics like hand gel and proper bin bags.
