“ZERO ATTENTION TO DETAIL”
The receptionist was friendly and the location was fine, but the property felt unsafe with a crumbling boundary wall, no electric fence or cameras, and very limited parking; the yard was filthy with domestic rubbish attracting flies, grass was uncut, and we were given a room on the outside. The room was in poor condition—walls only had a primer coat, the white bathroom door was dirty and needed repainting, mold was on the ceiling, toilet pipes leaked, the shower head malfunctioned, the bathroom window wasn’t frosted so there was no privacy, and there was no cupboard under the mirror for toiletries. The bedroom lacked a desk or workstation, had spider webs, and the king bed was uncomfortable; a queen bed would have provided more space for a desk. Kitchen and dining areas had poor hygiene, and the microwave was filthy and a health hazard. This is probably what you get for R700/night at Bountyful Guest House.
