The room was spotless, and the bathroom and shower were clean too. The toilet in the bathroom opens straight into the room, no door or curtain, so privacy is really lacking; at least a sliding door or a shower curtain would help. Breakfast was self‑serve with a coffee machine that, when it worked, seemed to wake up the whole building, and the fruit juices and jams were at room temperature on the table—what a pity.

Chez Sophie is a gem - the family running it are super welcoming and make you feel right at home. The service is great, especially the waitress who's funny and knows her stuff. The food's delicious too. I had a bit of a switcheroo with my room, ended up on the first floor which was way more convenient for me, and the view's nice. Plus, parking's a breeze.
