Breakfast wasn’t traditional; there were many special salads, and the evening meals were plentiful and all good. The lack of cooling was a big issue in summer. When I arrived, the temperature was +38 °C and inside the room was probably over 30. The absence of an elevator made it hard for an older guest to carry luggage up the stairs to another floor. There was some noise at night from the nearby 9‑way road. During the day, the neighbour’s hardware store made noise, including truck sounds. In August, there was a renovation underway, but it didn’t bother us in the evenings.
Very good. The staff were friendly and polite. Everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was well prepared, and the apple Charlotte was excellent.

We spent 8 nights here to attend the World Orienteering Championships. Marand is a cozy hotel with convenient parking, friendly staff, and excellent food. The rooms were clean and perfectly suited to our needs. Breakfast was a Swedish buffet, offering a wide selection of cold and hot dishes and drinks. We also tried the dinner menu, which we liked, so we came back for dinner. The hotel’s location was ideal, just 3 km from the motorway and a 6‑minute drive to the city centre.
The staff were kind and the food was excellent. We were unaware that a hotel repair was taking place.
