“Relaxing and joyful!”
An elegant property and very clean, with a very comprehensive layout for guests. The car park for hotel guests only costs £5 per night, which is a good deal; you just need to let reception know and they’re happy to process this payment for you. The restaurant “Beefys” is so worth the visit! The staff were beyond helpful and kind, making our evening very comfortable and stress free with their polite service and quick responses. The rooms are spacious and exactly how they’re depicted in the photos; the cushions were a bit stiff for me but the mattress was super comfy. The car park was very very busy, which cannot be helped, but the spaces in some parts of the car park were not clear so people were parking incorrectly.
“Superb and entertaining”
All of it, watching the game, seeing the players, and excellent breakfast. Nothing
“A nice hotel conveniently positioned but the food lets it down”
Finding the hotel was a breeze, the rooms were very cozy and the shower was solid. In the evening we ended up at the bar because the restaurant was fully booked; the fish and chips we ordered were just okay. Breakfast was disappointing for the £15 per person price—there was grey, sludgy scrambled egg that I’d never seen elsewhere, and the other hot items were similarly underwhelming. I’d likely skip breakfast next time and choose another place, but otherwise the hotel was welcoming and comfortable.
The staff were all amazing. A big shout out to Monika at reception who upgraded us to VIP of the day, which was a really nice welcome surprise. Even without the nice upgrade it was a cracking hotel and one we’ll definitely use again when the need arises. 10/10
“Great location and hotel staff are so friendly and helpful”
The location is perfect for cricket fans, and the staff were absolutely brilliant—there’s nothing negative to add.
