The staff were very friendly; we were given access to the room at 5:30 am after arriving in Cusco. Breakfast was provided, and the hotel was very well located, 7 minutes from the Plaza de Armas. We were able to leave our travel backpacks there free of charge for 24 h while we went on an excursion outside Cusco. The room was clean but very damp because the walls are stone.

The accommodation was beautiful with a view (room 301), close to the main square. The staff were helpful, and we left our large backpacks in the lodging for the duration of the Salkantay trek. Sometimes in the evening you could hear distant noise from nearby clubs.

The accommodation was simple but very well located. The staff were kind and helpful. They let us check in early at no extra cost and provided a snack to take with us at checkout, since we were leaving very early before breakfast. The shower didn’t heat up well at any time; I think there was a schedule for the heating system, but I didn’t ask the staff about it.

The thing we liked most was the location; the hotel sits in a really good area. However, there were several things that didn’t sit well with us: first, as many other reviews point out, the heating is terrible—there’s a lot of cold in the room and you can’t enjoy your stay; they only turn it on for a short while at night and it’s very weak. Second, our room faced an outdoor patio with zero privacy, everything could be heard, and we had to keep the curtains drawn all the time, so we couldn’t see any sunlight. Third, the room cleaning was poor; the floor was dirty and we found ants in the sheets. Fourth, towels and sheets were never changed, and there was no shower gel in the bathroom. Fifth, breakfast was a bit disappointing—every day the same, just one scrambled egg per person and not much else. Finally, hot water was almost nonexistent; you had to shower with lukewarm or cold water.

The room was very good, the shower was hot, and all the items for our stay were present. Breakfast was simple but met our needs. Only the number of stairs was a problem, lol. But that’s us who are out of shape.
