“No lo recomiendo”
The place is well‑located. The window had a removed pane to pull out the portable air‑conditioner tube, so all the air rushed into the room, plus the common area was noisy. The bathroom door had a grille that let the bathroom smells seep into the room, so it wasn’t isolated.
“Habitaciones pésimas”
The rooms were clean, but the reception was awful: the front‑desk lady didn’t want to help, said the room wasn’t ready, and told us to leave our bags in an unsecured hall on a floor with no security. A cleaning lady later came, was friendly, handed us the key, apologized for the poor reception, and said the room was ready. That was the first thing that happened. The rooms are poorly maintained; they’re clean but black insects fall from the ceiling and bite, the bathroom is separate from the room and the shower is awkwardly placed under a staircase so you can only shower sitting down. The doors have poor locks, they creak all night from the wind, and there’s only a single hook that holds them. Very bad.

The location, the aesthetic of the common areas and the cleanliness are great. The room was on the lower floor and there was a lot of street noise and people coming and going, which made it hard to sleep and the noise persisted in the morning. The room had a bit of damp on the walls; a little extra care would help, but overall it was fine; this is a suggestion for improvement and I loved the place and the décor.
