I felt like I was staying with a family, the atmosphere was very homey and the owner and other guests were all friendly and helpful. The water areas were spotless. The only issue was that the carpet in my room had a slight odor, but otherwise there was nothing else to note.

The staff were friendly and the building was beautiful and old. I liked it.

The staff were friendly and both the bathroom and kitchen were clean, but the entrance was confusing so I’d recommend researching it beforehand; the shower temperature and pressure felt a bit lacking to me.

The welcome was great, the breakfast very enjoyable, the kitchen well equipped, showers and toilets spotless, the dorm bed comfortable, the terrace superb for relaxing, and the location ideal near the city centre (local market on Saturday mornings); the staff gave good tips for visiting Abel Tasman Park, and there was nothing negative.
