The welcome was excellent, and the staff were very attentive to make sure everything went smoothly. The spot lets you move easily around the medina and get out when you want. The view of the ramparts is nice, and Hiram is a trustworthy organizer for any extensions of your stay. The only downside is that you have to go out for breakfast; you could prepare it in the kitchen, but you’d need to access the stores.

We stayed at Dar Houda for two nights and were blown away by Hicham and his wife’s warm hospitality. Upon arrival, we were treated to a traditional tea and then chatted about the city of Fès. Hicham even gave us a list of nearby places to visit, which we found very thoughtful. Located in the old medina, Dar Houda let us experience the famous labyrinthine streets. Our room was perfectly air‑conditioned and had great Wi‑Fi. We especially liked the décor, cleanliness, and pleasant scent of the place. Throughout the stay, Hicham and his wife were very helpful, attentive, and reachable whenever we needed them. I recommend it 😊. Nothing was missing 😊.

We booked the whole Riad, which is conveniently near the edge of the medina, making it easier to reach than the deeper parts—it's a nice, mostly residential area and feels very safe even late at night. The location is superb—just a three‑minute walk to Talaa as‑saghira and Bab Bagloud, where you can find food and markets. The Riad had everything we needed for a family: three bathrooms, plenty of beds, AC, a kitchen with cutlery, a microwave, a stove, a coffee machine, and an oven. The hosts, Hicham and Houda, were excellent; I kept texting Hicham for tips, guidance, and even video calls when I got lost in the medina (which can happen!). Overall I was very pleased with the Riad, and it made our nine days in Fès wonderful.
