I arrived on my Cathare Way trip and was greeted by Steve and Shani, who were absolutely fantastic. Their garden was a peaceful retreat, and the dogs and Claude the cat made it feel like home. The room and bathroom were roomy, tastefully decorated, and well-prepared. Dinner was incredibly tasty, and breakfast had such variety and generosity that I couldn't finish everything that looked so good. The only downside was that the door to my room faced the front garden and could be seen from the road; with no other windows, I had to keep it shut and miss the fresh air, which I normally avoid, but the room stayed naturally fresh even on a hot day, so it wasn’t a big issue.

The hosts were spectacular, making me feel at home. Their kitchen was superb, and we enjoyed homemade lasagna and garden tomatoes. The double beds were a bit small if you’re very tall.
