The location is surrounded by nature; you’ll need a car or a motorcycle, but after a day you feel at home and totally relaxed, perfect for those who want peace and to be close to many hikes. The owner, Stefano, is a positive, hardworking person. Some guests find it a bit messy, but overall it’s fine.

The property is decent but the lack of a car is a real drawback. It takes an hour to walk to the main road, and there’s no bus once you arrive. Taxis back to the apartment are expensive; I spent almost the same each night, and the drivers are very moody and rude, only interested in the fare. There’s no transport from the property, very little Wi‑Fi, and the train station is far away with no taxi or bus from there, which is a problem for me because I have Parkinson’s and can’t drive.

The building’s maintenance is poor. As of today, the establishment still hasn’t provided the invoice even after I’ve insisted via message.

Excellent food, clean with plenty of high‑quality equipment, a room with a high wooden ceiling and superb bedding. The terrace offers a spacious view with the river’s waves audible. The dining room and large living area are lovely. The host is multilingual, responsive, Italian‑Swiss: the dynamic strength of the north paired with the warm harmony of the south. Cable for internet, and if the phone network is truly inconvenient, you can find one a short walk away. It’s a 5‑minute walk to Silves and its restaurants, lounge bar, and supermarket.

The room and bathroom are very clean. The owner is very rude and has no patience for dealing with guests.
