I stayed at a hotel right on the beach, and the staff were incredibly friendly. They welcomed my dog with open arms, and the breakfast spread was huge and tasty. The team also gave me great suggestions for local activities and restaurants. I had no complaints at all.

The room was very bright, with a balcony that looked out over the sea. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options.

Great food at the hotel, but still some construction noise; it's a bit far from the center, and there are few restaurants nearby in the off‑season. The bus system works poorly, yet Milano Marittima is lovely with its tall trees and pine forest that lets you walk in the shade. Getting around the town can be a hassle, and the red flag always waves over the beach, meaning you shouldn’t swim because of the waves – but waves are part of the sea experience. A nearby beach club hosted a techno party with relentless bass. The town’s buildings are mostly concrete castles from the 1960s, and that architecture is terrible as a whole.
