We booked and paid in full ahead of time, but as a group of 11 we arrived around midnight after almost an hour in a taxi. The reception was empty and the staff were asleep; once we woke them, they told us the hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t stay, even though we had a confirmed prepaid reservation. They only suggested we ask for a refund through the booking platform, which was a huge hassle and stress, especially at that hour and with such a large party. I’m warning others, especially those arriving late or in big groups, to confirm directly with the hotel beforehand.
