Porta Deuropa in Lecce sits in the heart of the city, a 12‑minute walk from Sant’ Oronzo Square and under a kilometer to Santa Croce Basilica. The boutique hotel offers sun‑lit terraces, a Japanese‑inspired restaurant, free Wi‑Fi, a minimarket, coffee shop, picnic area, and bicycle parking.

The place is about a 15‑minute walk from the city centre, clean and tidy, but the listing photo shows the opposite building, not the actual accommodation. Even with a GPS it’s hard to locate; there’s no clear sign at the entrance. The room size listed is far from what we actually had, and the internet was only intermittently available.

The staff were very friendly and helpful when small issues came up, and the location is great.

The room was spacious, with a nice little kitchen and dining table. The bathroom was roomy and clean, and there’s a rooftop where I liked to sit every evening. It was perfect.

The hotel sits in a central spot. The room was noisy on a roundabout, had old windows, a tiny bathroom with a very small shower, and problems with hot water. I had to ask for cleaning twice in eight days and the towel change was still the same; the connecting door was old and everything could be heard. A lantern in the room let staircase light in at night. It was a terrible experience; the only positive was the owner trying to make us comfortable, but we’re on vacation, not cleaning the room. I booked a garden‑view room, but the room I got wasn’t that.
