Everything in the room was top‑class, the room looked gorgeous and felt like home. But a 5‑star hotel should fix a few details: parking costs 40 €, it should be free. The kitchen leaks into the dining area, it isn’t acoustically isolated. At reception, staff must unload luggage from the car. Breakfast should include eggs in any form as part of the price, not as an extra.

The decoration was good. Breakfast lacked variety. Information about parking said the price was not disclosed and the cost was exaggerated at 40 euros/night to leave the car outside.

The property is stunning with great decoration. The rooms are very cosy and have character, and we loved the little details. The SPA is good overall with a Hammam and a small bath/jacuzzi style. It’s very intimate (only 12 rooms) and was a perfect place for a gateway weekend. It’s close to the center of Megeve (about 5 minutes drive) but not too close so it feels quiet and remote. Small things could be improved with the breakfast; we were missing some options (no fresh eggs) and we were not introduced to the possibility of ordering omelettes or other hot options. Overall the products are fresh and good quality; the standard of the offer is just below what you would expect for a 5‑star relay chateau.
