“With our Son & Daughter-in-law living in Wilton, The Greyhound made the perfect retreat.”
Breakfast was really good, and we were the only two guests, but the service was flawless. I didn’t realize dinner wasn’t served on a Sunday evening, but we still met family for a quick drink before heading out to eat elsewhere.

The city centre is very close, and there’s a parking space right in front of the door. Despite a late arrival, the reception was friendly, and the breakfast selection was very good. Because of the building’s architecture (spire), showering in the top‑floor apartment isn’t possible.

The spot was close to Wilton’s centre yet still quiet and peaceful. The room felt luxurious and cozy, and the en‑suite bathroom matched that vibe. The building itself had been beautifully renovated, and the common areas were smart and elegant. The food and drinks were excellent—local beers, Jeremy Clarkson’s lager and cider, and a diverse menu packed with local ingredients—all of which tasted delicious. The staff were friendly, welcoming, efficient, and professional. Overall, it was a splendid stay, though the washbasin plug let water drain away while I was shaving, which was a minor inconvenience.
