We stayed in the Maisonette Apartment and absolutely loved it; the view and the entire property were beautiful. A supermarket is within walking distance. The apartment came fully equipped with all essential kitchen utensils—dishwasher tabs, dishcloth, and dish soap. We can wholeheartedly recommend the place as a base for exploring the island of Senja. Unfortunately, we experienced a fire alarm in the middle of the night. The hotel operates without a front desk, which worked fine for check‑in and check‑out, but in this situation we found the exclusive communication via SMS/Booking messages less than ideal. It was a one‑off incident, apparently caused by another guest not using the kitchen properly. Still, we recommend it.

The hotel is a smart choice in a beautiful, over‑hundred‑year‑old house located in a quiet setting. Check‑in and check‑out are self‑service, and you can see the care taken in the design and upkeep of the building. A big plus is the laundry room with several washing machines and dryers. The hotel has a very sensitive smoke‑detector system, which the owners warn about at check‑in. Unfortunately, not everyone pays attention, and we woke up in the middle of the night due to a false alarm. Also, there is no kettle or espresso machine for making coffee.

The room was nice with a stunning view, and accessing it was easy thanks to the clear instructions and pincode. There was a microwave in the room. However, there was no shower gel, and the pillow was too small and soft; two pillows per guest would be better.
