The location was convenient for catching the bus to Gatwick, and I could leave my car there. The first room had a cigarette smell, but I was moved to another ground‑floor room that was amazing.

I liked the spot, only 7 minutes from Gatwick, but a night taxi cost 35 €. Tea and coffee were supplied, which was nice. The beds were comfortable, yet the linens and towels were dirty. The building feels like it needs a makeover; the rooms are old, the towels are worn and dirty, and I arrived so late that all I wanted was to sleep. At 70 € per night this is too much for what I got, and I’m surprised the hotel gets such a rating.

It’s easy to find and close to the airport for an early flight. I took a bus there and then an Uber in the morning without any problems. The rooms were tidy enough, and check‑in and check‑out were straightforward. The shower took a long time to heat up, so I thought it might be broken.

The place is quiet and affordable, but the room and bathroom are very small, the duvet isn’t clean, and the room itself isn’t very clean. Getting a taxi to and from the airport costs 45 £.

A 30 second walk to catch the 100 or 20 bus to Gatwick airport and at 2:40am it took around 7 minutes to arrive at the North terminal. If you’re desperate to catch an early flight then the location is huge! 10 minute walk from Horley station and high street. The room was a bit tired but for £50 a night and great location you can’t really complain too much
