The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in a chateau style, and the host took great care of us. The stylish and delicious breakfast in the dining room was a highlight, and we spent two wonderful relaxing days here; we would return anytime. There were no remaining wishes for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully maintained 16th‑century chateau and felt very welcomed by hosts Joelle and Henri, who greeted us with welcome beers upon arrival. The continental breakfast was very good, and we savored coffee on the pergola overlooking the impressive garden. Nothing else to add.

Joëlle made our time at Château de Bonne Espérance feel effortless—she was always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. The grounds are gorgeous, the building itself has that classic charm, and the peace of the setting gave us some of the best sleep we’ve had in a while. It’s a perfect base for exploring the lovely town of Huy.

Our host was incredibly friendly and you could tell she puts her heart into everything, even offering great tips for day trips. The location is a bit off the beaten path, so you’ll need a car to get around, but the surroundings are truly idyllic—you’ll even spot a deer if you’re lucky.
