“Pas top le séjour au château”
The location, the pool and the jacuzzi are positives. The room was not very clean, there was no window covering on the ground‑floor room so we had to close the blackout curtains and we were left in the dark with the lights on for privacy. The bed and housekeeping were not attended between our two days, no staff were present, the breakfast was very basic with low‑quality products, we had to fill the coffee machine reservoir ourselves, there was no hot milk – only bottles on the counter, and overall it was expensive to pay for such a service.

The pool was great, the room was fine, and breakfast was good. Nothing to complain about.
Living in a chateau was a pleasant experience. The rooms are large, the beds have electric slatted frames, and the décor matches the chateau. The swimming pool is wonderful, the whirlpool too. The facilities are superb. It’s a bit off the beaten path, so it’s very quiet.

It was awful and we left. Upon arrival, the woman said she our room would be in another building when I reserved a room in the chateau. This was our 45th wedding anniversary and I wanted it to be special. She demanded an additional 80 euros before seeing a too . We went to the room and they drove off. The stench of mold was overwhelming. There were dead flies in one space and the beds was sagging. She said she was sold out but we didn’t see anyone else. We had driven 4 hours to get there, arriving at 6pm. It was unbelievable-tried opening windows to get the moldy smell out but it didn’t help. We left-with no reservations we went to the closest town to see where we could find a room. By 11:00 pm we found a room . I have tried to reach out to bookin.com customer service, to no avail. Instead, I contacted American Express to dispute the charges. It was a horrible experience and far past disappointing since this was the eve of our 45th anniversary. I will avoid any future use Of bookings.com. There was no support and how dare you offer this type Of accommodation. It is obvious that you do not inspect the properties you “sell.” I have been around the world multiple times, never have I left a property without any place to Go. It was a uninhabited. I won’t pay this charge nor the additional 80euros she demanded. It was awful, unhealthy and the property owner was rude from the moment we got out of the car
