The character and location were overall nice, but parking was a hassle because a blue Jaguar was blocking the way in the parking area. Getting hot water was difficult, the fridge was dirty, and the freezer was full of ice. The beds were not very comfortable.

The location was good, but there were lots of spider webs and the beds were small and not very comfortable.

The place was very nice and quiet, but the sofa bed had spiders on it.

The location was good and the Swallows Barn was quirky, but the fridge was very noisy, it wasn’t very clean, and there was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The internet was very poor; only one of three phones worked on it. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, so we lay on top of the duvet to try to make it a bit more comfortable. The owner came to the door tapping his watch and saying it was 11 am checkout; I told him it wasn’t today, it was tomorrow, and he just walked off, which I thought was a bit rude. He left a note on the door saying it was his mistake, but an apology in person would have been nicer.

We had a fantastic stay and felt very welcome; highly recommend. We will be sure to stay again if we work near the property again.
