“A stay at the property was low cost but some better maintenance and room facilities would improve it”

The location was convenient for Warwick University, and we received clear instructions on how to get access. Parking was available right outside the entrance. However, the property’s maintenance left something to be desired: the fridge in the communal kitchen needed defrosting, and several doors squeaked because they weren’t oiled. Our room lacked a mirror and only had one electric socket. Despite the pre‑arrival information, other guests stayed on the ground floor and talked until 2 am, so when we opened our bedroom window for the heat, we were disturbed by their voices.

“Comfy, cheap and convenient”

The spot was ideal for university events and shared with other guests. Unfortunately, the freezer was out of order and the shower was unusable.

A good place to stay near the university at a reasonable price, and the kitchen access with basic equipment was a big plus. The room was fairly large with a comfortable bed. The only light in the room was a ceiling fixture, and the switch was located outside the room, which is inconvenient. Every evening I had to walk down the corridor to turn it off, and in the morning I had to go back to light it up. Anyone could turn it on or off at night, whether jokingly or accidentally, since the switch is by the shared kitchen entrance. Moving the switch to the opposite wall near the door would be a trivial fix, and the lack of that shows something about the owner’s attitude toward guests.
