The rooms were clean and the ingredients and amenities were plentiful; the location was close to supermarkets and had good access to tourist spots, and the owner’s personality was nice.

The shuttle to the dinosaur museum and the help with the nearby supermarket were very useful; cooking the rice that was left and the child saying “delicious!” was memorable, and after checkout the staff delivered a forgotten item, which was appreciated.

I was just a 5‑minute bus ride from Katsuyama station and then a 10‑to‑15‑minute walk to Sun Plaza, so the location was spot on. I chose the guesthouse because I wanted to cook, and the kitchen was fully equipped, which was a big win. The host had already stocked the fridge with drinks, bread, cheese, bacon, butter, jam, cabbage, tomatoes and condiments, making cooking super convenient. Before I arrived, the host reached out and offered to pick me up from the train station, showing real concern that I wouldn’t have to walk to the guesthouse. They were polite, helpful, and even though we couldn’t speak the same language, the lady host used Google Translate and gestures to communicate. The male host even helped me travel to and from the Dinosaur Museum, and saved me time by sending me back to Katsuyama station so I could catch an early bus to Nagoya.

I stayed there for a ski trip at Jam Katsuyama and the sense of care was overwhelming. The proximity to the ski area gave me a comforting feeling. The place had a washer, dryer, a shoe dryer, a small heater and a circulator in the bathroom, plus laundry nets and detergent. There were also many other interesting items that made me wish I had checked in earlier, haha. I definitely want to come back! Thank you very much! On the downside, it’s mainly a self‑cooking accommodation, so it might not suit people who find that tiring.

The host was extremely enthusiastic, the house was fully equipped, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged. I recommend it for families; it was very comfortable.
