There were several pools, which was nice. In room 628 the fridge, freezer, and TV didn’t work, and the balcony door wouldn’t stay shut. I signed a paper saying housekeeping wasn’t offered, yet on my last day “Housekeeping” came in while I was showering naked and $500 was missing. They posted over 1,001 signs in elevators, parking docks, the swimming area, and the hotel saying cameras were present, yet nothing could be done. I will never stay here again and advise friends and family not to book this place.

“My first time there and I give it a C”

When I rolled into the hotel at 4:30 pm on 9/12, the front desk couldn’t locate my booking, and it took about two hours before they finally found it. The TV in our Caravelle room in the C Tower was dead, and maintenance tried to fix it with six remotes, none of which worked. We were moved to another room in the same tower, but it had a moldy smell. After telling the front desk about the odor, Mr Matt stepped in, apologized for the mess, and reassigned us to a room in the Caravelle main building.

“STAY AWAY”

I was pretty indifferent to most of the place, except for the free coupon book at check‑in that we never used. When we entered, the staff were in a nearby room, complaining about how late guests were checking in and telling us to “hurry up.” We were dropped off in the wrong building entirely, and the staff kept denying it. Our family, who checked in first, was assured they’d be in the same building, yet they ended up on the ocean side while we were sent to the other side, which felt like a run‑down motel. The toilet had an industrial flush, the rooms were shabby, the bed was all springs, the pillows were flat, the toiletries consisted of one bar of soap and one bottle of shampoo, and the shower only worked halfway—overall a disaster.

“The kids had a great time”

Parking was a nightmare, but the beach was great.

Loved that it was oceanfront. Beautiful. I did not like the rust in the fridge and on the stove. They could have replaced the toilet seat since it was messed up a little. I was expecting more for the price we paid Maybe if we had gotten a newer or updated suite, I would have felt the price was worth it. When we come back to Myrtle, maybe we can try an updated oceanfront suite at your establishment. We will have to see
