A cute hostel in a fantastic spot. June was very welcoming and super friendly. Brian’s Bar served fantastic cocktails; we asked Brian for his favourite drink and he mixed rum with pineapple juice and ginger ale, plus other off‑menu drinks that were delicious. Apart from the huge spider I encountered in the bathroom on day one—where June was a huge help—there were no complaints.
“Ok stay. Only location is the plus point”
The property needs maintenance; rooms get smelly and the bathroom needs an upgrade. The bathrooms desperately need an upgrade.
The spot’s great—close to the beach, food, and everything you need, plus a solid base for exploring. The vibe is cool with hammocks and a chill bar on site. The kitchenette lets you brew coffee or tea and refill water. The first room I got had a bad odor, but after talking to the owner I was moved to another room. The handle on the ladder to the top bunk in the shared room was broken. Water pressure was sometimes weak, but that’s minor; the only real nuisance was hearing music from the bar in the rooms until 1 a.m.
At least there was an AC. Everything else, especially the reception staff, was full of ego.
“Worst”
Almost everything was bad.
