Nice place with a great view of Batur Lake, but too many annoying flies make it impossible to eat outside without being attacked. Some water‑park equipment wasn’t working, and the food and beverage could be better, though overall it’s the best in the area.

The food was mediocre, except for a decent dinner. The pool facilities were the best, but the rooms were not up to price because the bathroom was still a shared one. Compared to nearby villas, the room quality was far below what the price promised. We had to share a bathroom with others, and it was far from the tent, so at night we had to be carried by my husband. Only two toilets meant we had to queue.

Kids loved the executive tent, the hot spring was good, and they enjoyed swimming and a nice photo spot. I was surprised by the vegetarian breakfast and dinner. There was no ambient light in the tents, and after dark no security was available. We woke around 4 am for a sunrise tour in my Batur, but the entire hotel was pitch dark, zero light, and no security around, which felt very unsafe with the family at 4 am. The rest rooms were not clean, the swimming pool closed at 7 pm and the restaurant at 8 pm; an extension to 10 pm would have been better.
