“Goed 3 sterren hotel om in te verblijven als je een dagje Iseo of Brescia gaat doen.”
The room was clean and the air‑conditioner could be turned on with a button press, cooling the room within a quarter‑hour for the rest of the night. The bed felt a bit firm, but I slept wonderfully for two nights. The receptionist spoke barely English (and I barely speak Italian) yet was kind and patient. Breakfast wasn’t super extensive but was very tasty, especially the cakes and chocolate croissants with a kind of honey. Wi‑Fi was fine; you can ask the front desk for the password. The hotel is close to the train station, and from there you can reach Iseo (a beautiful village by a mountain lake) or Brescia in 20 minutes; with the Trenord app you can easily buy a €2 train ticket with PayPal. The post office is also nearby but was closed for renovations; there was a red mailbox at the back of the building where I could send postcards. The shower was too hot for me, so I had to keep switching between hot and cold water. I couldn’t figure out how to lower the TV volume with the remote (it was lying next to me). For two consecutive nights early in the morning, there was loud noise on the hallway from other guests. I didn’t see any cold milk at breakfast, which would have been nice.
