The dishes at the restaurant were excellent, offering a wide range of typical Nigerian cuisine cooked superbly.
There was no air conditioning.
“I didn’t feel I got value for the money paid for that particular room.”
The location is convenient. The bathroom in executive superior room 3030 was barely enough for one person, and the toilet lacked a handheld bidet/faucet. I mistakenly assumed the refrigerator would be on at check‑in, and I was wrong twice because I had stayed here before.
The room was decent and the breakfast was very good, but the hotel felt like a scam. After checking in, they pulled up my Booking reservation that showed the agreed price, yet a few hours later they knocked on my door and claimed the rate had changed, demanding extra payment. I refused and called Booking to report the issue, but the hotel insisted “Booking’s prices are not our prices.” In the end I only ended up paying $3 more than the actual rate, though they initially tried to charge $20 extra. They also overcharged for the airport pick‑up: I was quoted 30,000 local currency, which was already steep, and after an hour’s wait with a driver who kept saying he was “on the way,” he told me the correct price was 40,000. I told the hotel, and they admitted “Oh sorry we gave you the wrong price by mistake,” but it felt like part of the scam.
