“Rummelig”
The room was clean and the breakfast tasty, and the staff were friendly. However, the place felt over‑decorated and crowded, the room itself was quite small, and in the entrance area there were piles of laundry bags that never disappeared. The breakfast room was stuffed with dusty clutter and the armchairs were old and worn out, which made us feel uncomfortable and we were glad to leave after just one night.
Nothing positive. An email told me the hotel was closed, my reservation was cancelled, and I had to find other accommodation. See above.
I received a message very early on the morning of our stay cancelling the booking. While emergencies happen, the news could have been delivered more professionally and politely. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this place on that basis.

Nothing positive. The hotel was shut, boarded up, and awaiting a court case. I spent an entire afternoon searching for alternative lodging with no assistance. Nobody had informed us about the closure, and when I raised the issue they offered accommodation in Wales, Yorkshire, and Devon!
“Hotel Cancelled on us 8.30 am The day of stay!”
Melody house cancelled our booking at 8.30am via email on the day of our stay.We were travelling there. No explanation given. This was our Wedding Anniversary.Ridiculous . Ruined our plans
