Friendly staff ran the place, and the space was absolutely gorgeous—sleeping in a bus was a highlight. The setting was creative and beautiful, and the facilities were solid, with fans and a fire pit we were invited to use. Howler monkeys roamed around and were delightful, and fruit trees dotted the area. The only downside was that we didn’t have a driving license, so getting around was tough, and no other guests were staying. The shower was subpar, but that was expected.

The hostel’s uniqueness is unreal, with authenticity and a touch of magic that makes the stay amazing. It’s the coolest hostel by far, and the big kitchen and fire pit give it a homey feel. The animals, fruit trees, and stories about each caravan add to the vibe—if you’re looking for that, this is the place.

“Brilliant Place, Very Romantic”

The place was spotless and tidy, tranquil, and there was no nighttime noise, which is rare in Nicaragua. The food was high‑quality, homemade vegan fare, and making a fire was fun. It had all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment, so you can bring beer. I didn’t encounter any bugs, unlike other hostels on Ometepe. The location is well‑balanced between the two towns and close to the start of Volcan Concepción. I’d recommend renting an ATV instead of a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe; the people on the San Jorge side aren’t trustworthy. The hostel also offers scooter rentals, though I grabbed mine at the port. It’s a very photogenic and peaceful spot.
