I had a truly special stay with Ron and his family. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and the underwater world is amazing, with black‑tip reef sharks, rays, and coral teeming with marine life. Falda’s food was delicious, and I had the chance to experience the village and local culture. You can really feel the love that went into creating this place, making it an unforgettable experience. The only downside was having to leave.

The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly, and the cabin is spacious, tucked among trees so you can relax in the shade. The food was fantastic and flavorful—big kudos to his wife for the cooking.

This homestay is managed by a local family starting their own business; Ron and his wife made us feel at home with good food, helpful travel tips, and guided us on a day trip, while the beds were made daily. My kids and I appreciated the size of the two‑bedroom homestay and the large lavatories, perfect for families. Batanta is a great spot to visit the island, and we saw a massive waterfall. Boat arrangements are possible, even from Sorong, about a 2‑hour boat ride in good condition. We’d definitely return and meet the nice family again—best wishes, Ron. The only downside was the lack of Wi‑Fi at the homestay, though it’s available nearby; Ron will look into improving this in the future.
