“Výborná základna pro výlety k Mt. Bromo, pokud chcete klid a vysoký komfort.”
The resort is brand‑new and, besides the hostel, also provides standard rooms for larger groups, which is where we ultimately stayed. Everything is very beautiful, with a luxurious, slightly alpine vibe. Temperatures aren’t too high and the rooms lack heating, but we did receive a small electric heater, which kept us warm. The restaurant is lovely, with a terrace and a nice view; the à la carte dishes and coffee were delicious. While the young staff struggled with inexperience, the hotel manager was excellent, rescuing everything with his willingness and friendliness, making us feel truly welcome. Booking a jeep to Mount Bromo was hassle‑free—the trip from the hotel took about 50 minutes. From the hotel you can see the main viewpoint, so you’re aware of the weather there. Thanks to staying here, we completely escaped the noise from other jeeps heading up every night.
However, the hotel is still “in the making,” so expect minor shortcomings. The staff are very young and inexperienced, leading to occasional mistakes: we had cleaning arrive around 8:30, and a waiter claimed a rendang was sold out for two days, even though it was available in the kitchen. Old bread appeared at breakfast, but these were just minor flaws; overall, the hotel offered pleasant accommodation. It was unfortunate how often prayers and (though pleasant) songs from the nearby village of Wonokitri, located on a nearby ridge, interrupted the quiet. Sometimes early in the morning I felt like I heard a song every 20 minutes, so there were no long naps.
