The host was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and every day I received great and valuable tips for activities and restaurants to visit. I would stay there again anytime. The pension is unfortunately a bit outside Berchtesgaden, but still central enough; you can quickly reach Ramsau, Königssee, etc.

Communication, cleanliness, breakfast, etc.—6 stars, but only 5 stars are available in the rating system. If I need a room again in Berchtesgaden and the surrounding area, I’ll definitely book the Landhaus Degen.
Each morning the breakfast was lovingly presented with regional produce, and the host always had a kind word for every guest, suggested day trips, and served a perfectly cooked egg. The rooms were well decorated, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern and very clean. We had a room with mountain view that we enjoyed from the balcony. Many day‑trip spots are reachable by bus; the stop is just a short walk through the woods or along the road. For dinner we could use the balcony, order pizza from Ramsau, or follow the host’s suggestions for taverns. We’ll gladly come back.

It was very hospitable. Good tips for excursions. The pleasant breakfast surprises—like a melon cut into a heart—made each morning a joy. The daily morning post was a highlight. No complaints.

We were three people staying for a Watzmann excursion, booked a large three‑room suite with balcony. The manager was extremely friendly and we felt very comfortable. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we’ll definitely return. Overall, a fantastic place to stay.
