I adore staying at the Jolly Roger Motel; the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the pool is stunning, the lobby is stocked with books, the Avalon coffee shop is excellent and their bagels taste amazing, and the spot is just a block away from the outdoor Wednesday night concerts in the summer. The only downside is that the rooms could use a refresh.

Everything was fantastic: the staff was attentive, the rooms were spotless, the pool was clean, and the whole hotel maintained a great standard; plus, it's close to the beach.

The 1960s‑style décor is a blast, and even though there are newer places in Wildwood Crest, this one stays very clean and well‑maintained; free coffee is on tap all day, the staff is knowledgeable and upbeat, and the pool and barbecue areas are spotless. Parking is more than adequate. The only issue is that the music by the pool gets a bit too loud and continues late into the night in September, disturbing quiet rooms well after everyone has left, probably because the summer schedule still runs past nine o’clock.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The A/C didn’t work very well.
