The tranquility of the place is perfect if you want to rest. It is a bit far from the beach; you have to walk or ride a motorcycle.

The spot right next to the mangrove is a real find! The room’s décor feels cozy and the little kitchen next to it is handy. But when I arrived there was no welcome at all – not even a glass of water – and after such a long drive that would have been nice. Getting there at night is a hassle because it’s hard to see anything; better to arrive during daylight.

The hostel looks gorgeous and the staff are fantastic, offering great services. I’d recommend swapping out the mosquito nets because the ones we had were slightly torn and let bugs in. If you’re after a nature experience, this place is perfect! Changing the nets would ensure a better night's sleep.

The room was spacious and the village was quiet. Getting to the beach and the village is tricky: you either have to walk through the mangrove during low tide for about 20 minutes, or rely on a fisherman who charges 3000 to 5000 pesos per person to ferry you, which limits travel especially when no one is available at night. The walls are only 2 cm thick, so you can hear every neighbor’s conversation and the movements of the dormitory on the floor above. Cleaning was mediocre – hair on the floor and in the towels, dirty kitchen utensils. The owners are completely absent; only two staff members show up at the start of the day.
