The private parking with a gate was a plus. The owner was hostile, making us feel unsafe. Keys to doors were missing or there was no lock. Mosquito nets were broken. We couldn’t sleep for three nights because a window couldn’t be darkened and the outside lighting shone in like floodlights, making it daylight all night. We were repeatedly delayed and nothing was fixed. The fully equipped kitchen was unusable, only for breakfast, which was very sparse. The toilet seat and other bathroom fixtures were broken and unusable. The address was wrong; the building is on the same street but number 97, which caused trouble booking a transfer.

We chose this place mainly for its closeness to Vesuvius National Park, and that was very convenient. The room was generally fine, the bed was comfortable for me, and the room was clean enough. The enclosed courtyard and private parking were positives; we always found a spot. The hosts tried to help, and despite the issues we managed our stay. The property advertised a host who spoke Italian and English, but English communication didn’t work well. Bathroom problems included a toilet without a seat (the mounting points were still there), a tap that wouldn’t shut off, and a shower that hadn’t been cleaned properly, with hair from a previous guest around the drain. I reported these, but the missing seat wasn’t fixed, making bathroom use uncomfortable. The kitchenette door was locked, which was inconvenient when traveling with a child because we couldn’t heat food. The first morning we were told to go for breakfast, but later learned it cost €5 per person. I had already eaten, so I paid, but the limited menu was mainly sweet items, not worth the price. I bought coffee for myself, but from the next day the breakfast room was locked, so I couldn’t make it. Trash in the room was only taken out after I specifically asked.

The location is great and the room is fairly large; we were in room 5, which was very comfortable, and the value for money is excellent. Cleaning could be much better, the shower is barely working (either boiling hot or freezing cold), and there is no bath kit.
