Located in a 19th-century town house, the Albergo Astro is a family-run hotel situated 5 minutes from Genova Brignole Train Station. The 5th-floor rooms feature modern furnishings, LCD TVs, and private bathrooms. A 24-hour front desk and Italian-style breakfast with croissants and cappuccino coffee are available. The Old Port and Genoa Aquarium are 1.5 km away, with restaurants and cafés nearby.

The bedding was impeccable in a very spacious room. The hotel’s location is perfect. The hotel is a bit hard to find because it’s on the 5th floor of a Haussmann‑style building, which is quite atypical. Don’t forget the friendly staff and the breakfast that the hotel kindly offered. The shower was too small.

The experience was flawless: staff were courteous, rooms spotless, and value for money was spot on. The luggage storage option was handy, and the breakfast surprised us pleasantly. A special shout‑out to Antonio for his passion and love for the city. Thanks everyone, see you next time!

We loved the hotel’s location, which let us drop our luggage at the storage and start exploring the beautiful city right away. The room had everything we needed: the receptionist gave us a kettle and mugs, there was a fridge, a TV and very comfortable beds; the bathroom was spacious with hot water on demand, and housekeeping came daily, although we had to leave the keys at the front desk. The property felt safe, with doors locked and opened by code. Unfortunately, the owner knocked loudly on guest doors after 22:00, which was inappropriate, and the offer to move us to another room on the last night felt out of place, especially since we never received the room we booked—a balcony room—but got one without a balcony instead.

The location was superb, the bed comfortable and the air‑conditioning worked well, but the bathroom was cramped and required flexibility to use, tiny ants appeared in the bathroom, and the room was very noisy.
