“A true Boutique house of the highlands full of love and care at every opportunity.”
Piotr and Aleksandra are phenomenal hosts and the Old Manse of Craggan is a true gem of Scotland. You can tell every last bit of love and care went into restoring this wonderful Manse. Antique and vintage mix with modern luxury; the hosts have perfected this spicy combo, truly living up to the name Boutique House. The bathroom was spacious, warm, and luxurious, as were the fireplaces around the manse. The four‑poster bed was welcoming, and the weighted duvet added to the cozy highlands feel. The grounds are stunning, with the River Avon a short walk away. Breakfast was full of love and care; every meal was 10/10, generous portions, and the continental selection was plentiful, most of which was locally sourced. The food was incredibly tasty, snazzy, and filling, setting you up for the day ahead. This was something that caught our eye while searching for accommodation; the website looked fantastic, but the real deal was far beyond that! Piotr’s love for coffee didn’t let us down with the incredible flavors he brewed for us. We also opted for the pack lunches; we 100% didn’t regret this decision. I can’t stress enough the care and love that goes into all the food prepared at The Old Manse of Craggan, even to the point of discussing preferences beforehand to ensure they can cater to your needs and expectations. Being vegetarian, it can be hard to get this right, but the hosts prevailed with their knowledge of foods. Meat eaters don’t fret; there were plenty of Scottish delicacies available, and the hosts know the best local restaurants you can visit if needed. Both hosts were incredibly knowledgeable about local history and places to visit, generous, courteous, and genuinely lovely people. We will book again very soon. No negatives.
